When do puppies go home?
Puppies typically go home between 10–12 weeks, after their ear crops have healed. Current best practices recommend that puppies remain with their mother and litter until at least 10–12 weeks for better socialization, confidence, and adjustment. If a puppy is going to a working home or is left uncropped, they may go home as early as 8 weeks, though we still recommend waiting closer to 10–12 weeks.
Do you temperament test your puppies?
Yes. We evaluate puppies at 7 weeks old to help match them with the right homes.
How do I reserve a puppy?
All prospective owners must first complete a puppy application and participate in a phone interview before being placed on our waiting list, which is FREE. Our goal is to ensure the best match possible — not only for each puppy but also for each new owner. We carefully consider drive, workability, structure, and temperament when pairing puppies with families.
After your interview and approval, your name will be added to our waiting list. Because we are a small, preservation-focused program, joining the wait list increases your chances of securing a puppy.
Once a breeding is confirmed and the dam is pregnant, we contact applicants on the list in the order applications were received. After the puppies are born, you will be invited to join the reserve list. At that time, a deposit is required to hold your puppy. The remaining balance is due at the time of puppy pickup.
What about delivery and pickup?
All puppies must be picked up in person. We do offer delivery within surrounding states of Indiana at the standard mileage rate of $0.70 per mile driven. *We do not ship or fly dogs.*
Do you offer lifelong support?
Yes. We provide lifetime breeder support for all of our puppy families.
